“Essential” Clickbank Traffic Secrets You Need To Know To Achieve Monster Sales!

Posted by fuefzeb @ 10:22 AM, Thursday Sep 2nd, 2010

For an affiliate what is the one most important and vital aspect to sales? The answer is traffic. Or rather, the quality of traffic or prospects you send through via your affiliate link. Now I hear you say “but that is only possible with Adwords!” Surprise, surprise not only is do we not need Adwords, these 2 methods taught here are also free!  design-websites

One of the single most powerful and free ways to grab targeted traffic is definitely writing articles. Articles like this that you are currently reading serve many purposes.

Firstly, it establishes your position as an “authority” of the subject and also increases your brand name (or your name for the matter). Secondly, the link that is attached at the author resources box is intimately related to this content you are reading. People are more likely to buy after they are “warmed up” to the idea. This is called “pre-selling”. Thirdly, it builds up many one way links thus pushing up traffic and increasing your status amongst search engines. Now tell me why this isn’t a great tool?

How do you go about it? Well say you are promoting an article submission software. Naturally you should write an article on article submission and offer some useful and insightful tips. Churn out at least 2 articles a day submitting it to at least 5 article directories for a month everyday. This is such a powerful method of getting sales.

Which article directories to submit to?
There are thousands out there! For starters you can take down the address of this article directory. Hey I submitted my article here so it must have worked!

Remember this is a totally free medium to get high quality traffic. There are many software out there that instantly submit your articles to hundreds of directory saving you the hassle of doing it yourself if you find it too tedious.

Another method is to participate actively in forums. Again the benefits are quite obvious. You gain tons of back links and you also gain credibility in your niche within the community. This is again, a great way to brand yourself. Remember to genuinely contribute and make intelligent discussion – people will tend to look at your signature more.

Next is to develop a powerful signature with a link to your website in it. Many people overlook this point; your signature is the ‘link’ between the forums’ traffic and your site. That having said, these are not the only ways which you can get free targeted traffic. There are many more ways! Do your research and start exploding your sales.

Beyond the beds, to the top quality bath rugs

Almost everyone has a bath rug in their home today. It's exceedingly rare for a home to have a fully carpeted bathroom. Tile and linoleum are easier to clean and wipe up, and are simply better at managing the potential water hazards presented by the shower, sink and toilet.

While leaving the carpet out of the bathroom has several practical advantages, there are some downsides as well. This is where bath rugs can play a huge role in not only the look of your bathroom, but its safety as well.

One of the biggest reasons for placing bath rugs in the bathroom is the danger inherent when stepping out of the shower with wet feet onto a smooth, slippery surface like linoleum. With one of these rugs in place, you can confidently step out of the shower, even with wet feet, and not have to worry about slipping.

Make sure you get a bath rug with an anti-skid surface on the bottom though! If you purchase one (or a set) with a smooth surface, you're going to run into the same problems you had with the slippery tile floor – perhaps more so.

Another advantage to stepping onto a rug from the shower is the ability to step onto something soft. Those with back or foot problems can appreciate this seemingly otherwise tiny advantage.

Many people like to use a number of bath rugs to ensure that they can move about the bathroom and stay on a soft, warm surface whether its coming out of the shower, or moving to the sink to brush your teeth, shave, put on makeup, etc.

But perhaps the two biggest advantages to bath rugs are the cost, and the wide variety of sizes and styles available. Most of the rugs are rather inexpensive compared to the cost of fully carpeting your bathroom, so you can have the luxury of changing hem out when you get bored with them, and want something different in there. This also makes them cheaper to replace if they get soaked from a broken pipe or a toilet overflow.

The wide variety of styles and colors means that you can match almost any decor imaginable. Thanks to inumerable colors, sizes, styles and textures, you can design your bathroom almost any way you like.

The lowly bath rug – what it lacks in standing, it more then returns in practicality and usefullness.

5 WAYS TO AUTOMATE YOUR SITE

Automating your online business is one of the most important steps you can take to insure your success on the internet.  website design ideas

Automating your online business is one of the most important steps you can take to insure your success on the internet.

If you have been on the internet for any time at all, you know that there are just too many tasks to do each day to be really efficient and productive with them all.

Learning to delegate some of those routine,  daily activities is one way to insure your site's success and to give you much more time in the day for the most important task which is that of promotion and marketing your site.

HERE ARE 5 SIMPLE WAYS TO AUTOMATE TODAY:

1) USE AUTO-RESPONDERS:

Probably one of the best-known and popular ways to handle routine messages to inquirers is the use of auto-responders.

It is simple and easy to set up your messages which usually involve several follow-up messages to remind your visitors what you are offering and how to find your site again.

Here are some free ones:

http://www.freeautobot.com/     (ad free also.)
http://www.getresponse.com/
http://www.sendfree.com/'
http://www.sendthisfree.com/

2) MAILING LIST MANAGEMENT:

If you are trying to run your own newsletter, handling the process by yourself can eat up a lot of valuable time.  In the beginning  this may be possible,  but as your list grows and the tasks involved keep multiplying, your time demands will increase also.

There are lots of ways to manage a mailing list including installing your own scripts and  purchasing your own software.  Weigh the pros and cons, but be sure and check out the possibility of *farming out* the responsibility to a mailing list service.

Here are some to consider:

http://www.zinester.com/    (free and paid versions)

Free ones include:

3) USE SOFTWARE:

There are many software options available depending upon your work online.  Here are some possible software applications available.  Just do a search online.

~Creating links to your site and others.
~HTML editors
~Ad swaps
~Promotion
~Subscription management
~Survey forms

4) PAYMENT SYSTEMS:

Well,  this is just a no-brainer. It is just too simple not to do this one.

Having an automated payment system that allows you to accept credit card payments for your products or services and is something that everyone has to have to be successful online.

Here are a couple of third-party ones that I use and recommend:

ClickBank–  http://www.ClickBank.com/
PayPal–    http://www.PayPal.com/

5) AD TRACKING SYSTEM:

If you are going to advertise your products and/or services online, then it is critical that you track your results.

Knowing how many hits you got to your site is nice, but it won't take care of your questions like,  “Where did my traffic and sales come from?”

Here are some ad tracking systems.  (Some offer  free versions.)

http://www.BusiToolz.com/
http://www.hypertracker.com/
http://www.adminder.com/

Implementing these five time-saving helpers is a very important benchmark in moving your business into a phase that will free up some time to insure  your success online.

Best of luck with your promotional efforts.

There are five simple tasks that you need to do daily to keep your site on top. Here they are:

1. You need to start off by managing your links. This involves making sure that none of your current links are dead, and you should also check if there are any sites linking to you that you don’t know about. If your site consists of a large number of links you should make sure that they aren’t getting out of control and get rid of anything that is no longer relevant. Also make sure that your links are sufficiently labelled to reflect the page that they link to.

2. Re-order your links, putting the best ones first. And putting them into categories if you have a high number of links. If you have a links page with 25+ links it is a good idea to turn it into a directory of some sort. This can even help you in getting more links to your site in exchange for back links on the directory that you have created. Also check the sites that you link to and make sure that any back links that are due to you are still there as you don’t have much reason to keep a link if you aren’t getting the backlink that you deserve (if the back link was, indeed, negotiated when you placed the link onto your site).

3. Process link request emails. Whenever you receive requests for a link exchange, respond quickly. Not every mail you receive will be a good one, and you should make sure to check any site that wants you to link to it. If you are declining a link request let the web master know why. Perhaps you have an incite that they do not have. They may be able to fix a few things and then become excellent link partners in the future. It is common curtesy to inform the web master as to whether or not you are willing to exchange links within two or three days of receiving a request. Web masters will be even more impressed if you send them a personalized message regarding your approval or disapproval of the link exchange.

4. Check link exchange forums. This is a similar aspect to the above except that in this case it is more difficult to keep track of all of the people who can potentially request links from your site. There is a lot of spam on these sorts of things as well as many really terrible and useless sites. If you encounter such a site or forum member, inform them of your problem with what they are doing and report them to a moderator/administrator if they do not correct their behavior in a suitable manor. It is important that these kinds of forums be kept clean or a search engine may consider it a link farm more than an exchange service.

5. Finally, you should check each feature of your website, to make sure it’s still working properly. The dynamic content that you will probably include at some point must be delivered properly. Any messages that are generated on the fly must not be generated at misopportune times. The difference between a quality dynamic site and a subpar dynamic site is that in a quality dynamic site all content is delivered at the right time and everything seems static and planned out.

Take your time with your website and make sure that you do everything you can for it each day. Keep adding anything new that you find, because updating regularly will keep search engines coming back to spider more often. Updates are crucial and if you can follow the patterns here of insuring quality and precision, you will probably be able to come up with other ways that you can insure your visitors satisfaction and your increased traffic, link count, and search engine listings.

Never agree to link to someone’s site without asking for a link in exchange, unless they offer to pay you – even then, you should think twice. All your incoming and outgoing links need to be related to your site’s content for you to be ranked high in the search engines.

Basic Link Checks.

Some sites use robots.txt to stop search engines from indexing their links pages, in the mistaken belief that outbound links will count against them. To check, just retype their URL with robots.txt on the end (for example, http://www.website.com/robots.txt). If you see a page that says ‘Disallow’ and has the URL of their links page, then they’re not letting spiders index that page. Don’t exchange links with that site.

You should also check to see if the website is being ‘cloaked’, and report it to the search engines if it is. You don’t want to get involved with these people – better to have them banned and out of the way.

Does the site offering you a link have PageRank? Even if they do, you should look at how it drops between the front page and the links page. Be aware that new pages take a while to get ranked, so PR0 doesn’t necessarily mean a site that will never have any PageRank.

Take a look at how many links are on the page already. There shouldn’t be more than 20 links – if the site breaks this rule, don’t even consider it. Plenty of webmasters collect links, thinking they’re helping their rankings, but it just has the effect of making them look like link farms. Many of them don’t even involve linking to the big spam industries, like casinos and adult content. There’s no point in having a link from a site that takes links from just anyone.

Why You Should Use Professional Graphics!

Did you know that one of the few success factors in web copy that converts (other than skillful copy writing, of course) is none other than professional graphic designs?  affordable-website-desig

Did you know that one of the few success factors in web copy that converts (other than skillful copy writing, of course) is none other than professional graphic designs?

Let’s think about it…

Do people judge a book by its cover? YES.

Do people judge your product by its looks? YOU BET!

So, when it comes to your prospect reading your sales letter, I am sure you are now inclined to agree with me that presentation MATTERS.

And that’s simply because as mentioned above, in most cases GOOD LOOKS SELL! Of course there are a few exceptions… like when I had to sell my wife on marrying me. ;) But lets get back on topic…

This is the case as many marketers often report a jump in their conversion rates when switching to better designs. Some even report a boost of as high as 200-300%!

For example my good friend Aurelius Tjin shared with me how adding professional graphics to one of his web pages increased his conversion rate by 320%.

Of course… in the end it comes all back to good old split testing, the same way Aurelius did at his site.

Why? Because in some rare cases not using graphics might even be better, but again… you need to split test that with a system like the Add2it Go-To System at: www.GoTo-Pro.com

Unfortunately, not everyone is cut out for designing stunning graphics. And not everyone have the budget to pay designers for top-notch graphics.

But what if there would be a low-cost solution that can be responsible for:

- Saving you money from hiring expensive graphic artists,

- Giving your sales letters and sites a professional look, and

- Sparing you from the graphic designing chores!

How would you like to get your hands on a ship load of professional, great quality graphics WITHOUT having to create them from scratch?

Within minutes you will gain instant access to:

- Over 200 professionally made buttons,

- 63 bullets & arrows,

- 14 seals & badges,

- 37 marketing messages,

- And many more graphics that can help beautify your sales pages and increase your conversion rates through the roof.

Writing Articles For Online Business Success

Posted by fuefzeb @ 9:40 AM, Wednesday Aug 25th, 2010

Article Marketing is one of the best ways to market your online business, but new internet marketers might use this wonderful tool the wrong way.

Mannersland - Logo & Web Design by ArtbyAndyBauer

The importance of writing articles is increasingly growing as many internet marketers are witnessing the multiple benefits of this marketing tool.  geeksonsteroids

Many of the new internet marketers remember only one of the benefits which is getting back links to their websites. They completely forget that through the articles that they distribute they are building their reputation not only with the readers but also with the article distribution sites. This reputation is what is going to help them build a relationship with their audience that could eventually turn into visitors to their site who could turn into paying customers.

When writing articles you should remember the following:

1-    Your prospects are getting to know you through your articles. If you are writing for the sake of getting back links the readers will realize your intention easily and they will never click on your link. It is just like a sales call, if your prospect feels that you are pushing for the sale, he/she will never buy. But if they feel that you are sincerely trying to help, then your chances are much better for closing the deal.

2-    What you write and distribute today will always haunt you tomorrow. Learning the hard way on the internet might be extremely costly as anybody who is doing any search on you will get among the results your old work. The question would be; would they realize that this work was when you were new?

3-    Encourage your readers to click on your resource box by making sure to give them useful information that would really help them. Meaning; if you still want to distribute a large quantity of articles within a short a period of time, do not make that an excuse to reduce the quality of your articles. Each article should be written in the same spirit as if you are writing one article a month.

Writing articles poses two major obstacles to the marketers who are interested in this online marketing tool:

1-    The ability to actually write articles.
2-    The ability to distribute articles in an effective and efficient manner.

Writing Articles

For those who find difficulties in writing articles themselves I would recommend training themselves to that because in the long run it will serve them immensely in controlling the frequency of writing articles and the subjects they want to write about. The recommended strategy is as follows:

1-    For the first couple of months hire a copy writer or the services of copy writing companies that would write articles specifically for you on the subject that you wish. Remember this is not buying a copy of an article that is sent to many others. This has to be written exclusively for you.

2-    During the second month and while you are still getting the services of the exclusively written articles, get one article per week and re-write it in your own words. Meaning, get the core subject and write about it in your own way.

3-    Now you can drop the exclusive services and start getting ghost written articles. Be careful, you will need to re-write those as they are given to many others. When I say re-write, I mean really re-write. Don't change few words here and there or change paragraphs and then submit, because your article will be rejected. You need to make a completely new article out of the same core subject. You can get those articles in one of the following ways:

a.    You can buy such articles
b.    You can search for articles related to a certain subject and choose a combination of ideas presented in those different articles. This is a free option.
c.    You can visit article directories and search for articles that suit you. This is also a free option.

Remember you will need to re-write the whole article, do not use someone else's article and put your name on it. This is:

1-    Not Ethical
2-    Will be rejected by article directories.
3-    If repeated you might get black listed in some directories.

Article Distribution

As every single person in internet marketing would tell you, there are two ways to submit articles; manually and automatically. Automatically is done either through a software package or an article distribution service.

My first straight forward recommendation is never to attempt to use the manual option unless there are few extremely important sites that you need to be 100% sure that your article is submitted to them.

The automatic approach is a must to submit your article to as many directories as possible. Therefore, do not limit yourself either to an article distribution service or an article submitter software, rather use both options.

Do not purchase the first software that comes your way. There are several around and their prices and features vary a lot. Ask about the best options in forums, you will be getting very useful answers. This is how I bought my software package.

Purchasing a software could be a difficult issue to internet marketers from countries that are not among the listed countries in Paypal and Clickbank. Do not be discourages when you find that. What you should do is find the contact link on the site of the seller and ask them if they have other payment options.

Submitting articles is great fun and a wonderful motivation factor. The more you find your name around the internet the more you want to write articles.

Writing the Resource Box So It Gets People to Click

Posted by fuefzeb @ 8:36 AM, Friday Aug 20th, 2010

Why write the article, if you are NOT going to get the click at the end of the  process.  Article marketing requires results, and results for article marketing is the click on your link in the resource box.  affordable-website-desig

The following article lists some simple, informative tips that will help you have a better experience with articles.

The internet is the information highway, this phrase has been used so may time it should be nominated for the Internet Cliché Award. People that go to the internet are subdivided into groups, but generally, they are seeking information. Whether for gaming, business, fun or anything else the internet has provided us with information that has been proven to be very beneficial.

Through the recent years many people have learned the secrets of Search Engine Optimization. More and more sites realize the value of articles for the traffic of their sites. Some have even created sites devoted entirely to providing articles that could be read by their website visitors and have links that could lead to many sites that are related to the topics and subjects of the articles.

For example, the sites may feature many articles about a whole lot of topics. As a website visitor reads the articles they have searched for, they can find at the end of the article a resource box that can be clicked on to link them to the site that has submitted the article. Of course the article would be in relation to the site. Lets say if the article is about rotating the tires, the resource box may lead to a link to a site that sells tires or car parts.

A resource box is what you usually find at the end of an article. They will contain the name of the author, a brief description of the author, a brief description of the sponsoring site and a link. If a reader likes what they read, they would have the tendency to find out where the article came from to read more. The resource bow will be their link to the source of the article and this will entice them to go to the site and do some more reading or research for the subject or topic they are interested in.

But like the article itself, the resource box must also be eye-catching to demand the attention and interest of the reader. While the resource text take only a small space, providing the right keywords and content for your resource box will provide more prodding for the reader to go to your site.

Those of you not familiar with the latest on articles now have at least a basic understanding. But there's more to come.

Now we know what resource boxes are, what are the benefits of having a good resource box? Mainly its driving traffic to your site. Many sites would allow articles to be placed in their sites because they can make use of the articles to fill their pages. They also get affiliation with other sites that can be beneficial for them as well. For the sponsoring site, when you get people to click on your resource box, you generate traffic that can be counted upon as potential customers.

So what would be a good content for your resource box? Basically it is keywords, learning about the proper keywords that people are mainly searching for. There are many tools you can find in the internet that can help you in determining what keywords to use.

Resource boxes can also make use of all the creativity it can get. You only get a small space for your resource box so you better make the most of it. Try to catch the attention of your reader with resource box content that can make them give a second look. Unlike TV ads, you don’t have visual aids to drive your point in. But you do have the power of imagination of a reader. With the right content, you can make them think and intrigued.

Another tip is to use keywords that should be related to your site. Do not mislead your potential website visitors. Build your credibility so that more people would get enticed to visit your site and browse what you have to offer. Make the people click your resource box by providing resource box content that makes a lasting impression. You only get one chance to invite the reader to click the links you provide in the resource box. Don't blow it.

Never underestimate the power of the resource box. It may be small in size but they will provide a significant aid in driving traffic to your site. A boring resource box will never get a job done. Be fun and creative but at the same time show that you have a great deal to offer, too much to ask for something that couldn’t fit a paragraph? Yes and no, there are many tips and guides that can help you in doing this, the first step is realizing how important a resource box could be in making people click your link and be directed to your site.

That's the latest from the articles authorities. Once you're familiar with these ideas, you'll be ready to move to the next level.

If you are not blogging for your business then you should be. While many people simply dismiss blogging because of its description as a web diary they are missing a lot of traffic and revenue generating opportunities every day. Are you one of those missing out?

In truth blogs are much more than a simple web diary. They are actually a content management system and/or an easy web site template. Blogging software allows you to begin posting your content to the Internet in minutes and when you harness that ability with an RSS feed you have a powerful traffic magnet.

I have come up with 7 reasons why every business should have a blog and RSS feed.

1. Publishing a regularly updated blog helps you keep in touch with your existing audience and/or customer base. You can publish updates, news, or thoughts in your blog as well as answer questions.

2. A blog can help you attract new customers. Your blog entries (posts or articles) will become fodder for the search engines and will attract new visitors. If your blog answers the visitors question or attracts their interest you have just found another qualified lead.

3. Blogs and RSS feeds often rank higher in search engines than traditional web sites. Search engines love blogs and RSS feeds. If you design your blog properly then every time you update it the search engines are notified. Even if you don't regularly ping most search engines will revisit blogs more frequently. Plus the very organization of a blog lends itself to spidering and good search engine ranking.

4. Blogs can help you establish or build your reputation in a particular field. As your blog grows you will demonstrate your knowledge in your chosen niche.

5. Blogs and RSS feeds are good revenue streams. You can add pay-per-click ads, affiliate ads, or sell ad space on your blogs. In fact, many PPC companies also provide the ability to add PPC to your RSS feeds.

6. Blogs are great ways to generate leads. Even if you don't want to put any advertising on your blog you can use it to promote or capture leads for your own programs. These are great leads as the fact that they came from your blog means they are already interested in your topic and predisposed to your individual message.

7. Creating your own blog is the easiest way to establish a presence on the Internet and creating an RSS feed is even easier. In fact, it is also the cheapest way to get started on the Internet as there are a number of free blogging sites out there. I started out with http://blogger.com and usually recommend them but have heard others point to several other top blogging sites as well. The blogging software that I now use is WordPress and also happens to be free. In fact, most web hosts now offer WordPress (or other free blogging software) as a free site add-on through Fantastico. Installing WordPress from scratch is quick and easy but Fantastico makes it even easier. Blogs created at Blogger have an RSS feed created for them and WordPress also creates feeds in several variations automatically.

As you can see there are several benefits to starting your own blog and RSS feed. If you can count that many benefits from an Internet marketing technique that is also free and easy then you are foolish not to begin using it for yourself.

10 Marketing Strategies for Sports Betting Sites

Posted by fuefzeb @ 8:21 AM, Wednesday Aug 18th, 2010

Tips on marketing your sports betting website. These tips will also work for just about any type of website.  geeksonsteroids

So you have a new sports betting site and you were hoping to compete with the established sports book sites, how do you go about letting the world know the site exists?

In the old days new sports gambling sites would simply just start aggressive Pay Per Click campaigns. With today’s Internet the search engines no longer allow gambling sites to advertise and that includes a ban on search engine PPC. Removing this type of advertising forced the online gambling providers to come up with other ways of increasing their popularity.

There are a number of strategies you can try in order to attract potential members to your sports betting sites.

1.    Optimize your site for higher ranking in the organic searches. This is a tough one seeing as the competition is very steep. Don’t use questionable tactics, just be honest with your SEO and optimize the pages for the content that is actually on each page.
2.    Generate topical content well in advance of the sporting event that you would like to promote. Generally speaking, search engines can take 3 to 12 weeks to find new pages so unless you are really up on how to get the pages indexed quicker, give new pages plenty of time to be discovered by the search engines.
3.    Allow other sites to use your topical content in exchange for a text link back to your site. Doing this allows you to gain extremely valuable one way text links that will help to increase your link popularity. Just make sure you choose the text for that link carefully and the site posting your article maintains credit to you as the writer.
4.    Post articles from other sites. Make sure that the article you post on your site is full of keyword rich text and optimize the page that contains that article for the contents of that article. When done properly this can greatly improve your chances of being found in a search engine for that articles topic.
5.    Add a Forum to your site and create categories that promote the events that your site specializes in. For instance, if your site is based out of Europe you might want to make a bunch of categories based on Soccer such as Soccer Injuries, Soccer Trades & Rumors etc. Doing this will generate keyword rich, topical pages that eventually will be indexed by the search engines. The more active you’re Forum, the greater the chance of creating countless pages that the search engines will love.
6.    Join forums on other sites and actively contribute to them. You see when posting to other forums your signature is added to the bottom of your post. In your signature you have an opportunity to place some text that could be used to promote your site. Also, some forums will allow you to place text links within the signature. Be respectful and do not stuff the signature with too many text links.
7.    Add your site to as many directories as you can. Some directories can take a long time for inclusion, the DMOZ for instance, so you should apply to them as quickly as you can after launching your new sports betting site.
8.    Reciprocating links can be helpful as long as you carefully search out potential linking partners. Make sure that the sites you are linking to are quality sites that you yourself would actually spend time on. A good rule of thumb is this – if you would bookmark the site others would probably bookmark it as well and therefore, the site would be a good site to trade links with.
9.    Offer affiliate programs to other webmasters. If you offer affiliate programs make sure that you actually pay your affiliates in a timely manner. You would be surprised at how many sites actually don’t treat their affiliates very well. Treat the affiliates like the limited partners that they are and that level of respect will more than likely result in your banners and text links gaining better placement on the affiliate’s websites.
10.    Purchase banner space on sports related websites. This can be an expensive proposition so you really need to take care in selecting the sites you want to buy banner space on. Don’t base your decision on Alexa ratings alone as these can easily be skewed. Also be wary of sites stating Hits and Impressions as their verification on traffic. The best stat to base you purchase on is monthly unique visitors and don’t take their word for it, use an independent third party tracker for unbiased results.

Just like everything else in life there are no guarantees but if you adopt some or all of the above mentioned marketing strategies, your site should see improvements over a short period of time.

As a prolific article writer I have been asked by some how I am able to generate so many quality articles in such a short period of time. Frankly, it isn’t always easy, but there are some things I would like to share with you in order that you may, perhaps, increase your production as I have. Increased production for you means additional and regular submissions resulting in greater exposure of your name on the world wide web. All of this should translate into more money for you, the chief reason for article marketing I might add.

In a seven month period this past year, I wrote over 400 articles that were submitted to various article directories on the internet. In addition, I wrote another 1100 articles for clients that were then delivered to them to publish on their own sites. These web content articles were all short, concise, and generally averaged below 250 words for each article. Most of my regular articles are typically 500 words in length with the rare article or two approaching 1500 words. Still, this achievement was no small feat for me, especially when the subject matter brought me into unfamiliar territory.

After much trial and error I have learned that the best way for me to keep my production high — while at the same time delivering useful and interesting content — meant that I had to streamline my operation. The following are some “tried and true” practices that I have put to the test and you can too.

<b>Stick With What You Know</b> — I don’t mind writing on subjects that I have little knowledge about, but in doing so I can get bogged down by excess research time. If I am writing for a client, I charge accordingly once they are aware that I am writing in an area that is outside of my particular areas of expertise <i>and</i> they are still desiring to utilize my services. As far as submitting articles to the online directories, I purely keep my subject matter limited to a handful of areas where I shine.

<b>Start, Then Stop</b> — There are times when I am in the midst of writing an article that I find myself unable to complete my undertaking due to a lack of information. If I cannot garner what I need right away, I put the unfinished article to the side until I obtain the information needed to complete the job. Let’s just say that I have a regular supply of “go-to” articles that I plan on finishing at a later time. I don’t get hung up on any one article, instead I move on and focus on the next. Overall, my production level stays high as I don’t let one article hamper my work flow.

<b>Outlines, Everywhere</b> — Well, not exactly. Still, there are times when I am in between projects, but still in the writing mood [which for me is almost always!] Therefore, what I do to stay busy is to craft a list of article subjects or titles and then work on writing an outline or two or three…you get the picture!  Some of these outlines have come in handy when a client requests a specific topic. I simply pull out the outline, expand on each of the points I already have listed, and I flesh out my article. Quickly and almost effortlessly a draft version is ready and sent out for my client’s review. At times I use the same technique for submitting work to the various article directories.

<b>Be Consistent</b> — If you aren’t writing on a regular basis, getting started again can become much harder to do than if you were to write on a consistent basis. In the days before electronic fuel injection was standard equipment [guess which topic I write on chiefly?], a cold car could take long to warm up. Much like those particular automobiles of yesteryear you need a constant stream of fuel going to stay warm. The hotter you are, the more you will produce.

In all, article writing is an enjoyable task for some while it is laborious for others. As you write, do not overly concern yourself with style, grammar, punctuation, and verbiage as these are things you can massage once your draft is done. Break free of the article writing rut and get yourself into a working rhythm today. If you do, you will become a recognized and respected author in no time.
